Location: Located between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, Haiti is situated on the western one-third of the island of Hispaniola, which is shared with the Dominican Republic.

Climate: Tropical and semi-arid where mountains in the east cut off trade winds. Has a rainy season and a dry season.

Highest Point: Chaine de la Selle at 2,680 m

Natural Resources: Bauxite, Copper, Calcium Carbonate, Gold, Marble, Hydropower
Due to political and infrastructure reasons, these resources go largely untapped. Extreme deforestation is rampant.
