This is a picture of the fruit plate and coffee that Brother Sam fixed for Delores for her birthday. Lindsey made some delicious omelletes and then she made a chocolate cake. Tinana sang some songs for and snuggled with her adopted mother early on this birthday morning. Baptists all over the United States prayed and miracles happened. What a birthday!

This lizard on our back porch is resting on a wind chime that has a poem called "Faith Is".


Children begin carrying water as soon as they can tag along with mom. It is the childrens' job to haul water to the house each day.

Kids are the same the world over -- this little girl is a ham for the camera.

This is Woz Falen (14 years old) using a layo [LAH-yo] to separate the trash from the good ground grain to eat. Tossing it in the air makes it separate according to its weight.

These are children pounding rice. They can also grind their corn or millet in the same way. Mom uses a smaller version to grind black pepper or spices for a stew.
