Leaders

Democracy has brought with it many changes in the last several years. There has been a change in how leaders are chosen from government officials making the choice to elections with the people making the choice. Leaders should be people who direct their affairs well and have the respect of the community. The community evaluates leaders based on how they act with the people of the community and how they live in the community. Leaders should work together with the community for the advance of the community. Leaders should know what is right and what is wrong. Leaders in the community should share ideas and work together for the good of the community. Leaders lose their right to lead when they do something wrong and lose the respect of the community.

Other than elected leaders, leaders are people who have resources available to them to achieve a goal. They seek followers to work with them to achieve the goal. Generally the leader chooses himself and then identifies followers. The followers follow the leader based on the benefits that they hope to receive. These type leaders are based on the capacity of the person to give resources to accomplish some desired project in the community.
